| $140Every Tuesday in February (except 2/21) and March, 12:00 to 12:45 pm.
Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī ( b.1207 in Persia, d. 1273 in Turkey) was a sufi mystic and masterful poet. His poetry is profound, approachable and full of humor. Rabbi Nachman of Breslov (b. 1772 in Międzybóż Lithuania, d. 1810, Uman, Ukraine) professed that one should talk with God directly, as one would do with a good friend.
At each session we will use a short passage from each thinker as a springboard for exploration of personal and communal spirituality, and as a doorway into a short meditation. If you plan to participate, please pre-order the Farukh Dhondy translation of Rumi and The Essential Rabbi Nachman, translated by Avraham Greenbaum.
