Writing Your Life: Spiritual Memoir through Poetry

In each session we will read and discuss 3 different poems addressing the many facets of a spiritual life, and then respond to a 10-minute writing prompt to elicit spiritual memories and connections. This is a generative writing group; you will leave each session with three drafts of poems that reveal the sacred undercurrents of your life. No writing experience necessary. 12 Monday: September 20, 27, October 18, 25, Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Dec 13, 20 & 27 9:30-11:00 AM. $18 Suggested fee per session. Come when you can; pay only for the sessions you attend.

Program Center Center Lane’s Program Center at 30 South Broadway in Getty Square provides access to structured programming and discussions facilitated by caring, queer-competent adults in an affirming space.  Youth will make friends, build community, enhance skills, and access services with support from their peers, staff and community mentors.

TransParentcy for Adults

TransParentcy is Westchester County’s only group for transgender and gender expansive youth ages 13-21, with a simultaneous but separate support group their parents/caregivers.  Youth and caregivers meet separately so that everyone has an opportunity to discuss topics that concern them with their peers. Youth can come  without an adult and vice versa. TransParencty is where you can find support to navigate difficulties and celebrate successes throughout the journey of being or raising a Trans or Gender Non-Conforming youth, and share resources, experiences, and knowledge with each other.
