Community Tashlikh

Cranberry Lake Preserve West Harrison, NY, United States

Community Tashlikh Thursday, September 22, 12-1 pm Tashlikh means “casting off.” We will gather at Cranberry Lake and throw pebbles  (more environmentally neutral than the traditional bread crumbs) as a way of saying goodbye to last year’s emotional baggage. Tashlikh is usually done on the first day of Rosh Hashanah. In order to do this as a larger community we will do it before the holiday. LOCATION: Cranberry Lake Preserve: meet at the Ranger Station. Some trail walking involved (about 1/3  mile each way). Bring a picnic lunch for afterward. Program Fee: $20
