TransParentcy – Youth
TransParentcy is Westchester County’s only group for transgender and gender expansive youth ages 13-21, with a simultaneous but separate support group their parents/caregivers. Youth and caregivers meet separately so that everyone has an opportunity to discuss topics that concern them with their peers. Youth can come without an adult and vice versa. TransParencty is where you can find support to navigate difficulties and celebrate successes throughout the journey of being or raising a Trans or Gender Non-Conforming youth, and share resources, experiences, and knowledge with each other. INITIAL ASSESSMENT AND RISK EVALUATION/CHILDREN Dates. This class will address the goals and methods of initial evaluations, and the information that should be obtained. Youth Resiliency Parent Group
ZoomParenting our youth can be stressful, whether your children are elementary school-aged or college students, or any age in between. Isolation, anxiety and social-emotional challenges for young people can be overwhelming, particularly with all that is going on in our world. Our discussion will highlight cultivating resilience and empathy skills for our children. The goal of this group is to provide a safe space to share life stressors with some delicious tea and meaningful conversation.
