Inclure
Programming for High School Youth in Westchester
Inclure* is a new initiative created to bring high school youth in Westchester County together to enjoy supportive social, recreational, and wellness programming in a safe space.
Many teens today are suffering from isolation and depression. Social and supportive group activities boost wellness and recovery. Engaging activities build friendships, promote positive interactions, and help develop self-confidence.
Inclure Members
The Inclure program provides substance-free social and recreational activities and programs for high school age youth, that support well-being and recovery. Inclure was born out of a need for teens challenged with co-occurring disorders (a mental health and substance use disorder), to find a safe space to socialize amongst their peers who have chosen to remain substance and drug free. This allows youth to continue successfully with recovery.
Inclure Teen Ambassadors
Inclure provides the opportunity for teens to exercise leadership and provide their perspective. Teen members of Inclure conceive, develop, shape, and promote ideas for Inclure events, activities, and projects, making it the program they want Inclure to be.
Please note: Both Inclure Members and Ambassadors agree to attend Inclure events and activities sober and substance free, and will not bring any substance with them to an event.
*The French word for “encompass,” the program name for a multi-community collaborative project with the harris project WJCS program to include all of Westchester County.
Inclure is a program developed by the harris project & Westchester Jewish Community Services bringing positive, prosocial activities to local teens; made possible by the NYS Legislature and NYS Office of Mental Health.
Inclure is offered in collaboration with a wide array of Westchester-based agencies and organizations. Additional support is provided by the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health.
