The skill-enhancing courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences offered by the WJCS Edythe Kurz Educational Institute, which is sponsored by the Kurz Family Foundation, help ensure that behavioral healthcare and human services provided by WJCS staff and other professionals in Westchester County are of the highest, most up-to-date, evidence-based quality.

The WJCS Edythe Kurz Educational Institute offered 32 courses and seminars with 1,400 participants and 583 Continuing Education certificates issues in 2024.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Licensed Social Workers, Psychologists, and Mental Health Counselors

WJCS offers several fee-based courses for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that enable licensed social workers and psychologists to maintain their certifications. Westchester Jewish Community Services is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Psychology as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed psychologists #PSY-0101, and by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Workers an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW0067, and by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors #MHC-0313.
