The attacks in Israel on October 7th and the ensuing war have sparked shock, horror, and fear. Our community continues to experience stress and we are continuing to provide services for those who are suffering. Together we can ease the pain and create a healing space for our community.
WJCS clinicians have led dozens of support groups for individuals struggling with emotional difficulties due to these horrible events and the rise in antisemitism worldwide. We’ve provided individual and group counseling to terrified teens, adults, and the elderly, including Holocaust survivors who are seeing their worst fears of “Never Again” become “Once Again.”
We’re sure you agree that hate has no home here in Westchester. WJCS has provided much-needed services to Westchester for eight decades–we are known as the “911” of Westchester. But the past few years have been particularly difficult. We’ve helped our Westchester neighbors overcome the practical and mental health challenges sparked by COVID and gain access to much-needed resources, especially for those in under-resourced communities where economic disparities were highlighted by the pandemic. We are here for everyone but we need your support to carry out our work in these critical times.
YOU can make a positive difference with your generous gift.
Every new and increased gift will be matched dollar for dollar with a $25,000 Matching Grant from The Beckman Family Foundation.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity.
